Download the recent jPort program from

If you use the installer, simply double click on the jar file or run "java -jar jPort-[VERSION]-installer.jar" (for Linux/Mac). The default installation path is "C:\Program Files\jPort".
If you will see a message "Permission denied", then
install it to "C:\jPort" (or any other location where you have the permission).
The installation does not require administrative privileges.
If you use the zip version, do the following:
Unzip the file jPort-[version].zip in any place:
- For Windows: Locate the package, right-click the file, click Extract All, and then follow the instructions.
- For Linux/Mac: unzip jPort-[version].zip
To launch the jPort portable desktop, click "jport.jar". Java 18 and above should be installed. You will see the jPort menu to the right of your screen. Click on an icon to launch a selected program.
Alternatively, run the program on Windows by clicking the file "run.bat". For Linux or Mac OS, run "run.sh". Now you can copy the installation directory to a USB flash drive.
With the downloaded demo version, you will get a base set of applications (about 30 MB). To be able to run all jPort programs, go to the Member area and register. Then you can purchase the full version of this application. Upon jPort activation, you can access and install dozens of applications listened in jPort Program Library. The total size of this library is above 1 GB.
Requirements
You will need to have Java18 (JRE or JDK) on the host computer. Download it from the Oracle. If not sure, check Java installation using this link.
Explanation
jPort software pack is large, with more than a hundred Java applications with the total size of more than 1.5 GB.
The downloaded free version of jPort has a limited number of applications (about 20). You should register in the member area and purchase the jPort program in order to install more free programs from the Portable Java Application (PJP) portal and update the existing programs.
If you are a registered user, please click the button "Preferences" and type your jPort username and password exactly as it was set in the member area.
We charge a small price for the activation of jPort. This ensures support, availability of web services, project continuity, accessibility of the documentation and on-time auto-updates. However, the activation will be valid for all future stable releases of jPort.
