Engineering:Peripheral pin controller

From HandWiki

A Peripheral Pin Controller (PPC) is a feature of the Intel Strong Arm processor family that can enable or disable I/O ports. It also allows the user to make other uses of pins normally dedicated to peripherals, if a peripheral is disabled. Some of the pins are available for general purpose use and some can be set to predetermined alternate uses (serial ports 1 and 4).[1]
