The Dallas Jeep was a Dallas car model designed by Jean-Claude Hrubon. The Jeep Dallas was built on a Renault 4 chassis, it was very reminiscent in the style of the Jeep CJ and its variants. The vehicle was produced from 1983 to 1998, selling almost 15,000 units worldwide. From 1989 the vehicle was exported to Africa by Renault and there it stayed in production until 2010, selling another 105,000 units. The vehicle was marketed as a competitor to the Citroën FAF.[1]

In Africa, after it stopped getting produced it was replaced by the Renault Captur, which was similar in functionality to the Dallas. The vehicle was an attempt by Renault to compete with the success of the Citroën FAF in Africa, today, the vehicle is somewhat rare. The vehicle was pretty popular in Africa, due to its functionality and practicality.[2]
