Rand Group, is an IT consulting and software company. The company is headquartered in Houston, Texas , with offices in Houston, Dallas, Portland, and Vancouver.[1] They hold 6 Microsoft Business Competencies and are a member of Microsoft’s Elite Inner Circle, a program reserved for the top 1% of Microsoft Dynamics partners worldwide.[2]
History
Rand Group was formed in 2003 by the acquisition of the technical consulting division of Hein & Associates LLP, a regional accounting firm. Between 1996 and 2003, prior to the formation, the same management team provided the same service offering at Hein. Rand Group received Gold Partner status in 2005, primarily as a result of its 90% client retention rate.[3]
They achieved Gold Competency status for Microsoft Dynamics products in 2011 and became a member of Microsoft's Elite Inner Circle in 2015.[citation needed]
In 2015, Rand Group briefed officials with the Mongolian government on applications of business technology to their petroleum and natural resource industry as part of a five-day workshop put on by the US Department of Commerce.[4]
Acquisitions
To-date, Rand Group has acquired the following firms:
- In 2003, Rand Group was formed by the acquisition of the technology consulting division of Hein & Associates LLP.[5]
- In 2012, Rand Group acquired Houston-based SMBology, a growth-oriented IT firm offering strategic consulting, user experience design, and application development.[6]
- In January 2013, Rand Group acquired the sales force management and marketing automation company, Salesworks Systems Inc.[7]
Services
Rand Group services include implementing ERP and CRM enterprise software, such as Microsoft Dynamics products, NetSuite, and SAP Business ByDesign, as well as Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, and business intelligence. The company also creates intellectual property for companies that require rental management software to assist with maintenance scheduling, and inventory tracking. Rand Group's services include ERP and CRM implementation, application development, analytics & reporting, intranets & portals, infrastructure services and sales and marketing services. Rand Group also provides independent ERP Software Selection services that evaluate clients' business environments and provide software recommendations. They support clients across North America, with "centers of excellence" in the Southwest Region and the Pacific Northwest.
