Spinaeschna watsoni is a species of dragonfly in the family Telephlebiidae,[3] known as the tropical cascade darner.[4] It is a medium to large, dark brown dragonfly with greenish-yellow markings.[5] It is endemic to north-eastern Australia,[4] where it inhabits streams and rivers.[6]
