Macropisthodon is a genus of snakes in the family Colubridae.[1] The genus is endemic to Asia.

Species

The genus Macropisthodon contains four species which are recognized as being valid.[2]

  • Macropisthodon flaviceps (A.M.C. Duméril, Bibron & A.H.A. Duméril, 1854)
  • Macropisthodon plumbicolor (Cantor, 1839)
  • Macropisthodon rhodomelas (H. Boie in F. Boie, 1827)
  • Macropisthodon rudis Boulenger, 1906

Nota bene: A binomial authority in parentheses indicates that the species was originally described in a genus other than Macropisthodon.
