Lepidonotothen squamifrons, the grey rockcod, is a species of notothen native to the Southern Ocean, where it can be found at depths from 10 to 900 m (33 to 2,953 ft), though it is most often found between 192 and 312 m (630 and 1,024 ft). This species grows to a length of 55 cm (22 in), though most are only around 35 cm (14 in). The grey rockcod feed mainly on macrozooplankton (salps, crustaceans and cnidarians) and is of minor importance to commercial fisheries.[1]
