Arenibacter algicola is a Gram-negative, hydrocarbon-degrading and strictly aerobic bacterium from the genus Arenibacter.[1][2] Arenibacter algicola uses polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons as only sources fore carbon and energy.[3]
