Vyacheslav Ivanovich Kuvshinov (Russian: Вячеслав Иванович Кувшинов) (1946 - 2020), Khmelnickiy, Ukraine ) (V.I.Kuvshinov) is a Belarusian physicist [1], Doctor of Physics and Mathematics. He got a specialization in Theoretical Physics and Particle Physics at the physical faculty of Belarusian State University. After graduating from the university he became a post-graduate student of the Institute of Physics. Since 1971 he worked as a junior researcher, defended PhD thesis, after that doctor's one, head of the laboratory of strong interactions. Since 2004 he is Director General of Joint Institute for Power and Nuclear Research - Sosny (JIPN-"Sosny") of National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of Belarus.

V.I. Kuvshinov represents elite scientific school of the academician F.I. Fedorov, he is a known scientist in the fields of strong interactions, nuclear physics, nonlinear dynamics of complex systems. He got a number of fundamentally new scientific results.

V.I. Kuvshinov repeatedly worked in European Center for Nuclear Research (Switzerland) and is a member of the International collaboration CMS of the accelerator LNC, member of the Council for doctor thesis defense, the Coordination council for cooperation with Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna), member of Belarusian Physical Society executive committee.

During many years V.I. Kuvshinov is professor of the physical faculty of the Belarusian State University, delivered lectures for schoolchildren - winners of physics and mathematics Olympiads.

Scientific achievements of V.I. Kuvshinov won recognition. In 2004 he was awarded the Academician F.I. Fedorov medal. In 2006 V.I. Kuvshinov and co-authors were honored by the Prize of the Academies of science of Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova for outstanding scientific results obtained during joint research "Investigation of cooperative effects in interaction of particles and their use in quantum computers, high-temperature superconductivity, diffraction theory, electronic nano-scale devices with controllable quantum tunneling and in quark-gluon plasma".

V.I. Kuvshinov has wide experience of scientific and organizational work. Joint Institute for Power and Nuclear Research - Sosny of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus headed by Director General V.I. Kuvshinov worked out clear scientific directions, became directing agency on the state scientific and technical programs. The Institute works in the fields of atomic energy and nuclear power technologies performs research in nuclear physics and high energy physics, physics of sub-critical and critical systems, develops methods for after-effects grade and decision-making in emergency situations oriented for national economy problem solution.

Scientific work

During the last years V.I. Kuvshinov worked out fundamental theory of nonperturbative fluctuations of chaotic instantons [2], squeezed and entangled states, put numeral calculations, developed Monte-Carlo simulation computer programs, formulated proposals for experimental search of these effects at accelerators. New conceptions are developed by him in the theory and applications of chaos in quantum field systems, that allowed to study new important effects, particularly, possibility to increase quantum tunneling probability for several orders of magnitude, to spread energy band, to influence on complex system stability. Obtained results are of importance not only in fundamental science but also in applied one.

V.I. Kuvshinov is the author of more than 300 scientific works [1]. One doctor thesis an Biography:Viacheslav Ivanovich Kuvshinovd eight PhD (candidate) ones are defended under his supervision. He is co-editor in chief of our journal, International Journal "Nonlinear Phenomena In Complex Systems" and we would like to wish him a good health, good mood and further achievements in all areas of his activity.
