This is a multifunction template. At its simplest, it adds the currency mark "SFr", as recommended by MOS:CURRENCY for many situations. The template can also link to the Swiss franc article.

Usage

This template renders a Swiss currency value with a currency abbreviation, or optionally an ISO code (CHF), linked to the Swiss franc article. The Swiss Federal Chancellery prefers to use only the ISO code (CHF) in preference to the traditional SFr abbreviation[1], but SFr remains in common use as CHF is unintuitive unless one is familiar with Swiss state nomenclature.

{{CHF}} produces SFr (simple currency article link)

{{CHF|123.45}} produces SFr 123.45 (with a non-breaking space between the SFr and the value)

{{CHF|ISO=yes}} produces CHF (simple ISO 4217 identifier)

Suppress link

{{CHF|link=no}} produces SFr (simple currency abbreviation)

{{CHF|link=yes|ISO=yes}} produces CHF (simple ISO 4217 identifier)
